Biography
Adebola Moses Tychus was born on December 27, 1962, in Nigeria to the late Papa Owen and Mama Florence Tychus. He was the youngest of six siblings. Fondly called “TYCO” by close friends and classmates, Debola grew up in Campus Square, Lagos Island, in a God-fearing, loving, and close-knit home.
He had his primary education at Olowogbowo Methodist School, Lagos, Nigeria; before proceeding to Methodist Boys High School for his O’ levels and Baptist Academy, Lagos, for his A’ levels. He later earned a B.Sc. (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. Debola built a strong professional career, working with several Oil & Gas service companies and banks in Nigeria, where he made a lasting impact.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Debola loved his children deeply and worked tirelessly to give them the best life possible. He was a fitness enthusiast, an avid footballer, and a passionate swimmer. He also had a keen eye for photography, capturing countless memories that told rich stories.
To his nieces and nephews, “Uncle Debla” was a beloved figure — always present, always caring. He loved family gatherings and had a unique way of connecting with and inspiring young people. A genuine and selfless brother, he was a source of unwavering support, love, and encouragement to all.
Debola understood that life is made up of fleeting moments, and he treasured each one. He lived with joy, embraced love, and left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
His kindness, laughter, and legacy of love will forever be in our hearts. Rest well in the Lord’s embrace until we meet again.
